Our Philosophy

Inspired by the spectacular natural beauty of Canada’s Atlantic coastline, Indriya by Smita Prakash imbibes the creative power of art, culture, and heritage of Prince Edward Island (PEI) in its design and creative process. The term “Indriya” in Sanskrit, arguably the world’s oldest language, refers to the sensory and spiritual faculties including sight, smell, hearing, taste, and touch. True to its meaning, Indriya offers curated designs, accessible luxury, and customized products handcrafted by generational artisans from across the world. Our team of design stylists at Indriya also curate innovative furniture, furnishings, and products, sourcing accessories from the best-known international luxury brands for the store. We feature brands never seen on the island before, like LexingtonHome, Tommy Bahama Home, Barclay Butera, Uttermost, and Revelation.

Our talented team of designers, combined with global partnerships with world-class furniture manufacturers, uniquely positions Indriya Home to execute projects from inception to completion.

• Soft Interior Design and Visual  Merchandising:

Creating a concept and mood with art, accessories, and soft furnishings, maximizing the aesthetics of a product with the intent to create eye-catching spaces that reflect taste and lifestyle.

Location and Influence 

Our first concept store is located in beautiful Cavendish, PEI, on Canada’s Atlantic coastline. Immersed in art, culture, and heritage, PEI has a major influence on our design and creative process. The island’s marine and culinary life has also inspired us to put together a collection of cookware
and serveware, allowing proud island home-cooks and professionals to showcase amazing meals in beautifully curated interior spaces designed by us.
